The last component of your Final Project is to write a letter to the policymaker that focuses on your support or opposition to a health care policy issue you select. Your letter should be written in a respectful tone and focus on the evidence supporting your position, rather than merely expressing your personal thoughts and opinions. You should provide evidence from the peer-reviewed literature to support your position and utilize information from Components 2 and 3.
Work you have created and submitted previously may not be directly copied into this assignment for credit. If you want to reuse any of your work, please consult with your instructor ahead of time and be aware that any reuse of work must be approved by your instructor. You should plan to significantly build upon that work and you must self-cite, per APA format.
The Project
You will submit your Final Project, including the following: a standard APA formatted title page and the letter that you submitted to the policymaker.
Note: If you received an email confirmation from the policymaker, indicating that your letter was accepted, you may submit that as well (although this is not required).
General Guidance on Project Length: Your Project should be 2–3 pages, excluding a title page and references. Refer to the Week 8 Final Project Rubric for grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use the rubric to assess your work.
